What is the "On Device" profile that keeps showing up when BEACN Mic is connected?Updated 9 months ago

"On Device" is a profile that is created when the BEACN App detects that the settings on BEACN Mic differ from the settings of the last loaded mic profile. These settings are stored in BEACN Mic's on-board memory and are copied into the "On Device" upon creation. This ensures that no previously saved profiles are overwritten and allows for you to transfer BEACN Mic to another system without needing to copy mic profiles in order to keep settings.

Note

There are some parameters in the EQ chain that are not user adjustable (ie. noise suppression's adaptive mode) that can cause both profiles to look the exact same but still cause "On Device" to be created.
